
The story of Stuyver’s is one of new beginnings. The company’s original founder began the business in 1985. With a humble start in a small 1,200 square foot bakery in North Vancouver, the company slowly started to make a name by respecting the old world baking tradition and using original Dutch recipes. The company’s current owner purchased the company in 1997 from the original owner. As a true entrepreneur, he has owned and/or operated a total of four bakeries over his 30 years in the baking business.
Currently, Stuyver’s is operated from a 30,000 square foot plant in Burnaby. With flexible state-of-the-art Bakery equipment, including Artisan bread lines and Blast freezing technology, the company has the ability to bake breads in large volumes, while respecting the Original Craft of Baking.
Our team aspires for integrity in our philosophy and our approach to baking bread. Our team of bakers is led by a Master Baker who apprenticed in Germany. We have many experienced bakers who understand both the art and science of baking.
